The Cavalier Cottage was perfect for our weekend away and our pup felt right at home! Patricia was so welcoming of our dog from the moment we booked. She had suggestions for local spots to visit that we really enjoyed. It was great to spend our weekend at Patricia’s!

Patricia’s place was exactly what we were looking for – a quiet place to get away from the July 4th noise at home. Our dog loved the peace he got and he loved the attention Patricia paid to him. It’s a great out-of-the-way spot but still close to the towns to get food or hike.  Thank you so much for being so kind to Montana. We hope to return next year so he gets a break from the noise at home. Your home was even more quiet than we expected and just what we wanted – a retreat. Thank you also for letting John meet your pups, and for the scones – YUM.

Patricia’s cottage is a cozy little oasis tucked in the beautiful Pioneer Valley, within a 15-20 minute drive of plentiful hikes, paddles, ski areas, and quaint towns and galleries. She is such a warm and welcoming host and puts the “bnb” in “Airbnb” with daily freshly-made scones and orange juice at your door each morning. It was such a treat to enjoy them while sipping coffee on the patio each morning. Although we didn’t bring our dog this time, we would feel totally comfortable doing so next time, and the space is so clean you’d never know that dogs are frequent guests. The cottage has everything you could need, including a well-appointed kitchen, good WiFi/ streaming service, a mighty comfy bed. We’d absolutely stay again.Thank you again your hospitality! It was a pleasure to meet you and your rescue pack. You have such a special place there in the woods.

The last week of May my mother and I decided to spend time at the Cavalier Cottage in Charlemont. Patricia was very welcoming and hospitable; treating us each morning to an orange juice with her own freshly baked scones. Moreover, Kaya, our four-legged girl,  loved a new dry food introduced to her by Patricia. Our stay felt as if we were visiting a family member. It was just a perfect vacation in the peaceful charm of the cottage. Thank you Patricia!

This place is very sweet and has everything you might need. Patricia baked delicious scones with our food allergies in mind and stocked the kitchen with organic coffee. A quiet peaceful weekend getaway. We loved the blue theme!

Very nice, clean, cozy, the host was amazing and greeted us and was available if we had any questions. Within 10 minutes of the town of Shelburne Falls. Host provided orange juice and fresh scones every morning it was incredible! WiFi available, room was spacious, AC worked great, bed was comfortable, cabinets had food available (cereal, granola, snacks, tea, etc) as well as the fridge was stocked with milk, jams, and butter. Full kitchen, everything you need to cook is there.

We just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely stay at your property. Thank you and if we are ever in the area again we will be sure to check your availability!

Lovely little cottage with lots of welcoming little comforts and touches. We wish we could have stayed and enjoyed it a little longer. Our whole family (including the dog) enjoyed the stay.

The accommodations were lovely and the amenities more than adequate. The weather when we were there was drizzly and chilly, so I can’t comment on outdoor activities in the area. But we had come primarily to stay indoors and get some undisturbed rest and puttering done anyway, so that was no problem. Our cat, who is not very used to traveling, was a little nervous at first. Maybe partly because she’s a city cat, accustomed to some level of background noise, and wasn’t used to how extremely quiet the cottage could be. But she gradually relaxed and made herself at home. She seemed to enjoy exploring a location that was new and different, but not too huge or overwhelming. My only caution when visiting is that the last, maybe, quarter mile of road (before you get to the short driveway) is currently unpaved as of this writing. I’ve driven on dirt and gravel roads before under wet conditions, but this one seemed slipperier than many I recall. So, if arriving during inclement weather, proceed slowly and cautiously.

We had a lovely stay at Cavalier Cottage with our two pups. The cottage is cozy, clean and adorable. Patricia was very welcoming and accommodating. We came here to ski and Berkshire East is just a few miles away. We also found some great hiking spots for the dogs and had fun exploring Shelburne Falls.

Perfect place for a little get away. Patricia was there to greet us when we arrived. The place looks just like the pictures. And her fresh biscuits every morning are delicious!
