We had the best stay with our pups Peighton and Parkyr. We were a bit early and Patricia was so kind to allow an early check in. We were in such need of some downtime, and some winter skiing. We got exactly that. Patricia’s place was perfect for our Golden’s and us. Very cozy, extremely per friendly. We enjoyed a nice long walk on day 1 to begin our getaway. Then 2 perfect ski days and our pups never skipped a beat. I was happy to hear that they just chilled out and took on all the cottage had to offer, yes they enjoy being on couches and beds (covered off course). Plenty of accommodations and the daily scones and juice, an added bonus we truly enjoyed and will surely miss. If we can swing another mid winter getaway we won’t hesitate to book again. Thank you again Patricia and your pups for allowing us to enjoy your little paradise for a short time.

Lovely space for our family and pets. The scones, jam, coffee, and orange juice were added treats. We were so grateful to have a safe space for our dogs and children.

Patricia’s place is a great hideaway with easy access to some of the areas highlights, including Shelburne Falls and Mass MOCA (within 40 minutes). The space is thoughtfully decorated, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked and her warm welcome of our dog was much appreciated. With or without a canine companion, this is a terrific, quiet spot. Highly recommend. Watson sends his warmest regards! Thanks again for creating such a wonderful, pet-friendly place.

Patricia’s fresh scones and Juice started the day off right. Friendly and helpful but unintrusive. Definitely pet friendly. Checked on my dog when I wasn’t there. Bella is now part of her pet gallery. I would definitely recommend this private and peaceful retreat.

We barely spent any time at the cabin as we were attending graduation at a nearby boarding school. Communication was excellent and Patricia was flexible with our arrival time. It was all that we needed for two adults and two kids. Lovely warm scones left outside the door for breakfast. It’s clear that Patricia cares deeply about her property and guests. It’s a perfect retreat for anyone needing some solitude. It’s slightly off the beaten track but directions were perfect and map was accurate. I should have realized this because it’s called B&B, but the owner lives in the left hand side of the cottage and the rental is on the right, it’s not a stand alone storage. That was my fault for not reading properly.

Very cozy & comfortable stay. Dog friendly as advertised, and Patricia putting out some warm scones and OJ was a really nice way to start each day!

Hello, it was quite the hectic weekend for us, but we have arrived home and wanted to thank you for your hospitality and thank you for providing such a lovely and much needed little B&B for pet owners. Hopefully us needing to be up so early, too wasn’t too much of a disturbance. Will be recommending your place to friends and hope to return on a normal relaxing stay. Thank you, Jim, Tracey and the pups Teddy, Jackson and Madison

I absolutely loved my brief weekend at your cottage. It was wonderfully quiet. Having a peaceful place to stay with my dog without having to worry about her was a blessing.
Knowing she had a quiet place that would not make her anxious, and having a secluded road to take her for a long walk on was a delight for both of us. The rooms- the combined bedroom and living room, and the separate kitchen, were spacious for the pup and me. My brother who stayed one night also greatly enjoyed the peacefulness of your cottage.
The fresh English scones were a welcome start to each morning. Your full kitchen was handy. The books were nice to have as an option for entertainment.

Patricia’s home is located in a gorgeous rural setting on a dirt road in the middle of several beautiful hamlets and old farms. It’s so quiet. Absolutely ideal for pet owners but we were still very comfortable as non pet owners who needed a couch for sleeping as well as a bed. It all worked, Patricia was a great host, and we shared a very nice connection. Her scones and juice were great and much appreciated. So was the coffee!
Patricia thank you for being understanding of our late arrivals. Your communication from start to finish was excellent and helpful. You live in a beautiful spot and we felt warmly welcomed and well cared for. Thank you!

Details…it’s all about the details. If you want a quiet New England getaway but still have the comforts of home this is it, especially if you have a four legged. Patricia’s scones and OJ in the mornings are the perfect touch before exploring the area. I highly recommend Patricia’s cottage and look forward to returning ourselves.

I chose Patricia’s place as it was close to the wedding that we were attending. I LOVE that it is very dog-friendly, and she even offered to check in on our dogs while we were at the reception. Much like me, Patricia just adores dogs! Clear instructions were left for us. The only comment I will make is regarding the TV, and that is more of a reflection of us that her….we are used to satellite TV and Patricia offers Roku streaming, which was a struggle for us….if we ever find ourselves in need of somewhere to stay in western Ma, I would def check to see if Cavalier Cottage is available.

Very relaxing spot. Patricia thinks of everything – very well equipped. Everyone comments on the scones and OJ, but those are the kinds of things you remember and make your stay more pleasant. She truly has the “b” in the Airbnb. So many places don’t give you anything! She had a wonderful assortment of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast cereals, etc. It makes for a much more relaxing stay when you don’t have to rush out first thing for coffee and breakfast! And of course the best part is her genuine love of animals!

Patricia’s cottage was a welcome retreat for me, my 19-year-old son, and our two 20-pound dogs. It is a mostly naturalized setting located on a rural road near the Mountain Coaster at Berkshire East Resort.
Because of an experience a few years ago at a pet-friendly motel, where my pups immediately “marked” scents in the rug from previous four-legged visitors, I was initially concerned about the numerous scatter rugs throughout the unit. However, I was relieved to find that it was clean, and we had no such issue. I surmise this was due, in part, to the host’s attention to detail. Patricia, for example, provided clean linens to protect the upholstered furniture (which was clean, stain-free, and unworn), and graciously took Macie and Moxy for a walk in the afternoon while we explored nearby attractions. The unit was visibly immaculate, had fresh bedding and towels, and was equipped with an air purifier.
Patricia herself was both kind and professional, for which I am grateful. Not only did she introduce us to breakfast scones and freshly squeezed orange juice, but she also readily accommodated a change-of-date re-booking when our pup got an infection.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our getaway in the Berkshires, and I would certainly recommend Cavalier Cottage for a comfortable home-away-from-home.

Our stay with Patricia was incredible! The place is clean, neat, and very accommodating for pets. Patricia welcomed us personally and had a basket of English scones laid out for us every morning with 2 glasses of orange juice. The place itself is close to a lot of attractions and nature hikes. Very easy to find with a dedicated parking spot for guests. There’s a nice front yard to walk the dog and you can also see so many stars outside at night. Overall an outstanding experience. 100% recommend to anyone, especially those who have pets. Thanks, Patricia!
